Can one select some special days [for observing Saum (fast)]?
Narrated Alqama: I asked Aisha (RAa): "Did Allah's Messenger (SAW) use to do extra deeds of worship on special days?" She replied, "No, but his deeds were regular and constant. Who amongst you can endure what Allah's Messenger (SAW) used to endure?"
