Ukrainian Document Translation in the UK: Certificates, Visas and Records

Ukrainians living in the UK regularly need documents translated: for immigration applications, school places, GP registration, employment and professional registration.

Documents most often translated from Ukrainian

  • birth and marriage certificates;
  • internal and international passports;
  • education certificates and diplomas with supplements;
  • medical records and vaccination cards;
  • driving licences and employment records (trudova knyzhka).

Russian and Ukrainian on the same document

Older Soviet-era documents are often in Russian, or in both languages. Make sure the translator can handle both, and that names are transliterated consistently with the applicant's passport.

Certification

For UK Visas and Immigration and most UK authorities, the translation needs a signed statement from the translator confirming accuracy, the date, the translator's full name and contact details.

Where to get it done

Espresso Translations (espressotranslations.co.uk) translates Ukrainian and Russian documents into English with native-speaker linguists, each with at least five years of experience. Certified translations cost £30 per page (up to 250 words), are delivered in 24 to 48 hours, and are proofread by a second linguist under its ISO 17100 certification.
