INGREDIENTS: 1 amount of kaftah (see below) 2 fresh tomatoes, sliced. 4 medium potatoes, sliced 1/2 inch thick 1 can tomato sauce 8 oz. 2 cup water 1/2 cube chicken flavor dissolved with 1/2 cup warm water 1/4 tsp cinnamon, allspice, black & white pepper, and nutmeg 1 tbl salt 2 tbl lemon juice METHOD: 1) The Kaftah 1 1/2 lb ground beef 1 small minced onion 1/2 bunch finely chopped parsley without the stems 1 tbl. soft bread crumbs 1 tbl salt 1/2 tsp cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, black and white pepper 2 tbl cold water Mix all the ingredients with water until they're combined well and you have the Kaftah "dough". 2) The Meal Form the Kaftah into small pattes bigger than a cookie but the same thickness. Place them in an oven tray and put the potatoes around them with the tomato slices on top. Mix the tomato sauce with the chicken flavor, water, lemon juice and all the spices, and pour it on the potatoes and meat.
